Persephone in the Death World [Domestika]

Updated: Jul 25, 2021

What's up, bros?

I just want to show you this art that I made for an art course that I took in Domestika: Digital Portraits for Fantasy with Photoshop (or, in my case, Clip Studio Paint because I used this program instead) by the artist Karmen Loh (Bearbrickjia), an amazing digital artist, And Oh My God, I love this!

If you don't know what is this website, Domestika is an online community for artist and creative of any career or art field where you can learn anything about art and graphic design: From photography to film editing, from traditional art to digital art, and from social media to be a freelancer, they have a lot of course. It's like Skillshare, but for the Latinamerica community. Take a look at their website, they have a lot of course that you may be interested to take: Domestika.org

Now, talking about this art, the main homework was to create a fantasy art using all the techniques that I learn in the course. So, I came out something from Greek mythology and I took Persephone, the Goddess of Spring, in Hades' kingdom: the Death World. I added a crow, and it looks awesome! I was going to add tears to her face to express her feeling of misery living in that world, but I took it out because I think it would look too dramatic.

Weird, isn't it? I mean, I made something completely different from what I used to draw or paint. I learn a lot of things from that course.

Anyway, thanks for reading. And as always, let's make something awesome!
